Hence, the tallest building in Sydney is Crown Sydney, which was completed in 2020 and stands at 271 m (889 ft). However, this height restriction was lifted in 2016 which now allows buildings to be built as high as 310 metres (1,020 ft) on condition that public spaces are not overshadowed. This was raised to 330 metres (1,080 ft) at the end of 2019. As the tower penetrates Sydney Airports Obstacle Limitation Surfaces (OLS) it will require an Aeronautical Impact assessment approval.
